Throughout the years, there have been a number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty right here in Carteret County. These men and women paid the ultimate sacrifice, fulfilling their oath to protect and serve.
The Morehead City Blue Knights have organized a ride in their memory. Proceeds from this event will be used for the Blue Knight XVIII scholarship fund for the Criminal Justice Program in memory of Joe Cagley at Carteret Community College.
The route will start and finish at Carteret Community College.
We will head east on Hwy 70, cross the Morehead City/Atlantic Beach Hi-Rise
(Hopefully one day the OFFICER DOWN MEMORIAL BRIDGE),
go down NC 58, back up Hwy 24 and 70.
Thank you for your support.
We are looking forward to seeing you September 18, 2010.
You are urged to pre-register by September 1st
